Today our fellow citizens are justifiably ever-more attentive to respect for the environment, product health, animal well-being and waste management.

Set up around 10 years ago by vinegrowers and winemakers in collaboration with the Chambers of Agriculture, Terra Vitis brings the environment and health to the forefront.

From planting a plot of vines to the bottle, the individual or co-operative vinegrower/winemaker commits himself to a line of conduct respecting the rules set out in the Terra Vitis sustainable winegrowing and winemaking specifications.

His is a commitment to transparency in everything he does in the vines and the cellar: this is tracability. An independent external certifying organisation makes sure that the specifications are strictly adhered to.

In this way, these lovers of their vines, the eco-system in which they live, the terroir which they husband and will pass down to their children, the Terra Vitis vinegrowers and winemakers make passion for their lifework rhyme with safeguarded environment.
